La Fiocco once again ventures into the world of the country fiddler, with music from the 13th and 14th centuries to Thomas Jefferson’s America. Along the way, we will stop over at Venice during the late 16th and early 17th centuries, and visit Restoration England. Then we hop across the Atlantic to explore the fiddle traditions of Colonial and Federal America, as we pay tribute to the contributions of the black fiddlers of Monticello and hear some of their foot-stomping traditional music.
