BAROQUE VIOLIN

Elaine Yao is a doctoral candidate at Princeton University, where she performs on baroque violin with Early Music Princeton and with various local period ensembles.  Currently a core musician with La Fiocco’s young artist project, The Next Generation (TNG), Elaine played baroque violin in La Fiocco’s Messiah performance with the choir of Trinity Episcopal Church in Solebury, PA, and in La Fiocco’s partnership performance of J. S. Bach’s St. John Passion with Princeton Pro Musica. Previously, she focused on solo piano repertoire and chamber music in Chicago, where she worked with the Spektral Quartet, Svetlana Belsky, and Amy Briggs.
